Depths

I have cold hands pressed firmly against a forehead of steel,

My iron strings are hollowed and freezing,

Electric are the nerves of my being.

You have a presence that bespoke of a realm of the real,

Archaic wisdom lost in space and time,

Electronics upon us in the age of crime.

Cold death awaits us,

The Iron child must die.

Glittering dust,

and smoke.

I have the worst of us within and without,

My love is frightening,

Lightning.

You are but a thought for which I doubt,

A love I had in my head at one time,

A love I wish I had now; sublime...

Coldness holds me,

Iron shackles bind me.

Flickering dreams,

and haze.

I have a burning soul,

My love would make a world quake,

For your sake?

Reality Bites

     There is a conscious trait among humans that make us what we should be and by extension do well by each other. This is a given trait among us. The truth is much starker than this. The goodness in our hearts is blackened by a society that permits sociopaths to control our world. How do they control our world without being found? We could have progressed to a higher level of thought and social/economic/political level without them but we didn't and now we wonder why?

     A sociopath is a chameleon even within the family and social structure. Love is a game. Trust is a manipulation. Harmony becomes that which the sociopath uses to adhere themselves to a similar population and extend their reach to true humanity. It is our innate goodness and willingness to do well and be loved that is used against us. A sociopath knows the words, but is unable to hum the tune.

 

     Human traits are complex. Our professions have been inundated with sociopaths to such a degree that we have scientists disclaiming “climate change”, doctors prescribing drugs that kill, and lawyers/judges defending racism. Our society has been truly embedded with that which will destroy us and we stand in awe of this because no amount of common sense or logic can produce its opposite.

     This is the WONDER of our age and this will be that which will either save the race or extinguish it...

Ebb Tide

When a country hates itself so much that it doesn't care what happens we are in a state of flux.

I am kind of partial for the former.

Our overlords may differ in their opinion.

Thesis

Much as failure is a feature of our imperialism and our world view narrows, short term success (financial) only makes our system survive a bit longer than it should. The overarching stimulus is money that truly means nothing. Failure (war) produces money, soulless fame and success (the stock market) that is supported endlessly in this failure. I dread the day when people recognize how duped they have been.

Failure is failed wars, destroyed cities and environmental catastrophe. Success is improved weapons, rebuilding impoverished cities for rich people and the continuous and relentless destruction of public lands for profit that are destroyed by man-made and natural disasters.

I love my cheap food. I love my country. I love my ignorance. I hate without reason. I hate different people. I hate taxes.

Profits, profits and more profits. This is the mantra that will doom us. Why don't our leaders come right out and say that their world depends upon us and explain why they need more. They hide behind flags and hatred. They hide behind a force without precedence, yet they are weak.

If there is one constant among a true citizen, and especially the military (their oath is binding), it is a belief that the Constitution is worth defending. Failure to uphold this simple creed is not negotiable. Leaders who do not heed this will understand that the people, and our soldiers, will realize your folly at some point and make you pay.

Power is a thing not trifled with. I look at the government (all three branches) and know how we came to this point.

 Fixing this dysfunction will be the work of the generations that follow the GREATEST generation and the BOOMER generation (both of which failed to provide the simple creed that your children will be as well off or better than you). You both failed miserably because of greed, fear and ego.

The more things stay the same, the more difficult it will be to change. (2018)

Leadership

This is not what it seems...

A person believes they are right because of what other people tell him/her. I believe most people can think for themselves and understand truth. Most of us have listened to crap and swallowed it whole. This doesn't mean we are idiots, it just means we trusted the wrong people.

Who will help you? Can it be the same people who just fucked you over for the last 40 years? Can it be a person or a party who gave up on you because your work was meaningless or too expensive? This is sadness beyond redemption.

Leadership in the US has been corrupted to its very core. When I questioned my Civics teacher in HS about the effect lobbying had on this subject he told me that the "checks and balances" written into the Constitution would take care of it. This was in 1973 and I watched in amazement how lobbying became synonymous with bribery and nobody cared.

This is what we are.

Nuance

This is Japan in the 1930s.

This was a culture in conflict with itself.

US:

Both of these countries love their military and at the same time they love their leisure.

One country helped foster a world war, the other wages war all over the world.

I am going to quote a paragraph from a book (Total War, Calvocoressi & Wint) written in 1972. I am going to substitute the word Japan with US. 

The prime evil of the US was certainly the ascendancy of the military. This led, in time of war, to the Supreme Command (the president and his NSC)  conducting the war as a state secret from the civilian parts of the US administration. Whatever else may be said of such a system, it proved to be most incompetent militarily. Thus US militarism held within it the seeds of its own defeat. It was unable to organize US society so that in modern warfare it could compete with the powers which were organized to be more flexible.


This correlation is more acute than anything Hitler did.
