And so we proceed...

The greatest Gen has all but died and the Baby Boomers are dropping like flies (hooray). The future is all about change and the past must be remembered. There is a lot of work to do.

Towards the Dregs

Unconditional love and trust is a worthy goal. Where do we falter? Human design flaws create hindrances, but they account for little in the schemata. Hate and mistrust lead us by the nose and we become what we abhor. Envy and greed rule our way. Our religions profess to guide, but they linger on in some nether world while our gods become us and we hate them.

Non-machine humans know this too well.

The failure of our collective will is not irredeemable. However, we have failed in the short term.

Fear of the outside beckons us to extremes. Yet, we humans harbor no ill-will (in the long term) to the contrary. This is our condition.

Only a machination can ignore this trait.

Our masters have become machines; made in machine likeness and we humans welcome the next generation of machine help with reverence and exhilaration. Our guiding principals are grounded in numbers; first order business and such. There is only one god (the number) and it is eternal. None but the infinite can begin to explain eternity. None but the machine can grasp it.

Numbers underlie the truth of our existence (mind) and words bind us in this truth. Imagination and the thoughts we endure (heart and soul) are byproducts.

Balance is for ledgers...

Nuts Are In the Shell

Fact checkers,
Come to this,
With their own sets of thoughts and beliefs.
We are not going to let our world,
Be dictated by fact checkers.

We are the creators,
We create our own reality,
You are destined only to watch.

When we are done with this reality,
We will make another,
And another...

Such is our way,
We are the modern warrior.
Proud samurais,
Steadfast in our shiny suits of silk.

Heroic deeds done,
For the new feudal chieftains.
We are inking blood bonds,
Of a permanent void and an airy omnipotence.

Embrace each new reality,
As if it was your first.
We are the present,
We have no time for history.

Fuck Authority

Oh, the many startling conclusions to be experienced.
The many truisms to be observed in this belittling life.
Where is the clinging hope?
Of bright words seeping into the ooze of humanic thought.
This is not a road of salvation or even a road of imaginary bliss.
We have exceeded the expectations of our totality.

It happens.

The hype we experience is but a glimmer on this silvery, blue mass,
Just one more shiny object to acquire in the grand nullification.

The time has past for pleasantries,
Embrace your future as if you have nothing to lose.
I don't have faith in any path a "leader" beckons.

We have reached a singular point in our (d)evolution.
We have come to a nexus of thought and scheme.

You and yours are not enough to combat what is to come,
This is the dependency on which all bets are called.

This can not be some sum game in some other's sum game.
We have forsaken ourselves and our "family" values for the sums we gather.
Pathetic beings whose VALUE diminishes with each dollar we cling to.

In some never, never land,
Life is not measured by dollars,

Failure seems an only option.
Fail to the top,
Fail to the bottom.
Both sides (right and center) do it.
What's left is a shattered, crumbling wreck of fail.

No, more; no, More...
(No's plugs won't help.)
Mail fail and male fail,
Water wars and camp sites.
All around the world.

The proof of fail lies in the pudding,
Where monsters gleefully dwell.
Cynics ride the swell,
To the top of the shit pile.
A miasma of success.

For What it's Worth

At some future point retrospection will reveal the flaws of our nature. I don't expect it to happen any time soon, but the inevitable course of history will play out and the farce we live today will find its replacement in still greater farces and adventures. The coils of an homogenized society will constrict us and blunt our spirits until only a form of brutal survival remains. How did we get to this point? We only need to reflect upon our own parts (collectively and individually) in this "passion play" for the answer to this question.

Justice=Order
Liberty=Security
Freedom=Employment
Truth=Democracy

There is an anxiety that permeates within us that our pretenses will not let slip. In a culture based upon artificial wealth and its glorified and dominant entrenchment through the ages, we are consumed by our own dissonance and it is overwhelming. Technology will become the new religion for the masses and it will comfort us and submerge our doubts. Culture is but a growing museum piece as it becomes ravaged by markets and LLCs. We are the people we warned ourselves about.

Hope is the light that burns bright. It is both a blessing and a curse because of its power over us and the misuse of that power by those who know better. I hope you understand I did truly love you.

One Tin Soldier

Five (three) cliches attributed to liberals by Jonah the Whaleberg, courtesy of the (fuck the) Washington Post.

Let me repeat that. Fuck the Washington Post.

I want to say first off, I am not a capital “L” liberal. That is a label, like Conservative, that has lost any semblance of meaning. I have thoughts and ideas that are distinctly liberal and not retrogressive, but I am  much more to the left of the left of the left (or what I call the center today.)

‘Diversity is strength'
Yeah, and “Divide and conquer.”'

'Violence never solved anything’
Yeah, and “Might makes right.”

'The living Constitution’
Yeah and “Corporations are people.”

Reducing ideals to bumper stickers is all well and good, but at the end of the day they are so much wasted paper and glue. I have come to realize that there are no redeeming, creative thought processes concealed within the "conservative" brain (and a lot of "progressive" heads as well.) It seems to me they are answering their own little voices (of how a group of people think) and making shit up as they go along. Empathy is not a strength amongst the status quo.

The damn Washington Post wants me to subscribe (so I can have my name and address peddled by their data-miners) in order to view the 3rd page of this article (bucket of shit.) Did I say fuck the Washington Post. Well, fuck the Washington Post

How this inept apologist and anti-historian can make a living writing this swill (I know-nepotism and ignorance of or pandering to a select audience) would be laughable if not for the truly despicable nature of his thought process and the resulting harm it has and will cause. Is this some kind of wonderful or what?

4/14/12

Under Pressure

I have a love for good music. I have more of of a love for music that brings me to tears, as this is truly my only human response to that which is great. Freddie Mercury and David Bowie achieved that with this song. Every permutation of this song is beneficial no matter the source. It was perfection.

Vanilla Ice knew what he was doing. Moles and leeches have ways of perceiving that which we know nothing about. It is their gift. It is our curse. Not to belittle what I perceive as Truth I am wholeheartedly a fatalistic fanatic of this version by Annie Lennox and david bowie and Queen.

This is catharsis.
"Why" is a good place also.

It's Poppin'

What's it Gonna Be Folks?

Origins are pleasantly amusing in that they invoke a certain mystique. A sense of belonging while not truly belonging so that “we the masses” may become one with the “force” being transmuted. I am as guilty of this phenomenon as the next person. Fitting in while remaining aloof is the “high wire” we step so that we may retain our individuality. I harbor under no illusions that we have a collective gullibility (we do,) nor that we preoccupy ourselves with “pop” culture to a malignant degree. However, within each of us is the capacity to appreciate truth and beauty. The Truth should set us free, but it wavers in its infancy and becomes that which is not named. Beauty becomes its antithesis and we extol hate, fear and greed as worthy traits.

Look within the deeper meanings of our existence and you find an emptiness. A gaping hole to be filled with anything to make our lives whole. Money, sex and power are temporary fixes to our greater demand. Violence satiates this need, but is self defeating. Blood can only satisfy the truly misogynistic and what is left for the rest of us? The accumulation of treasure is non productive; for every shiny object gained there is a commiserate shiny object lost. Power is not a difficult process to fathom. Some may think of it as strength, while others may believe it is knowledge of secret ordeals. Purely and simply, it is politics and the degree to which an individual will extend his or her force to other individuals. Sex is but a byproduct and institutionalized step to insure compliance.

I began this "blah-gurgle-gurgle" as an attempt to understand something far beyond my grasp. Pop music, in general and Rap (hip-hop) music, in particular has been a chimera to me. As with most “pop” culture I am stifled by my inability to comprehend both its significance and its pertinence. Believe me when I say I have tried and I would gladly welcome a fresh approach to this problem, but realistically I am flummoxed. Rap killed the metaphor and the rest of Pop has diluted the witty rhyme and clever turn of a phrase to a disneyfied flow of sickly, sweet syrup. I have no blame to throw around because as a whole most of us have become so homogenized we don't even realize it ourselves.

We have lost the capacity to criticize. Criticism is not a pejorative discipline. It is a reflection of what we are and what we hold True. In my opinion the critics are the last vestige of our journalistic heritage. When we have degraded to criticizing journalism, journalism itself is lost. I do not condone criticism borne of hate, fear, greed or any of its subsidiary units. That is not true criticism. I have learned to take my critical reading with a grain of salt. Do you?

Blind obedience and following is disgusting in any of its forms. I am only saddened by a willingness to embrace security over liberty. Fear of imaginary beings is tantamount to belief in same. May we survive this cognizant onslaught.

Question

Farting in the Wind

Mr. Obama (CEO and Head Thug of the US Corporation) said in a statement:

“This incident (Stalking from home to home, a United States Army sergeant methodically killed at least 16 civilians, 9 of them children, in a rural stretch of southern Afghanistan. The man gathered 11 bodies, including those of 4 girls younger than 6, and set fire to them.) is tragic and shocking, and does not represent the exceptional character of our military and the respect that the United States has for the people of Afghanistan.”

ISAF (NATO's International Security Assistance Force) deputy tool Lt. Gen. Adrian Bradshaw harrumphed and blurted this:

"I cannot explain the motivation behind such callous acts, but they were in no way part of authorized ISAF military activity,"

This non-apology shit never gets old for these smug creatures, does it?

I am never shocked by the US Corporation's willingness to murder and steal. Hell, it is in the corporate charter and anyone or anything that gets in the way of its profits will be destroyed. If you piss off The Corp, hell will surely follow. This is modern warfare "American" style. Conquest is achieved through the destruction of the "bad" guys infrastructure and the ensuing instability caused by the mayhem that follows. It is a perfect recipe for fun and profit.

1.) First, sell the "hardware of destruction." Next, persuade morons to use it. Repeat...

2.) When the area in question has been sufficiently devastated bring in the "peace" people and rebuild in The Corp's image.

Go To 1. and repeat.

Note: this is a win-win-win for The Corp as each step of the process involves enormous profits and perks.

3/9/12

Dirty Laundry

Farting in the Wind

The Times’ (the US Corporation's Newspaper of Record) Alissa Rubin on why the Bagram Prison must remain in the US Corporation's hands:

"Many of the estimated 3,200 people being detained [in Bagram’s prison] cannot be tried under Afghan law because the evidence does not meet the legal standards required to be admitted in Afghan courts... because Afghanistan has no law that allows for indefinite detention for national security reasons.”

Such a backward un-"enlightened" people those crazy Afghanis are! Don't they know that "detention" facilities are the wave of the future.

"Enlightened" Americans know when it comes to profit and protection there is no better way to invest their hard earned (stolen) money than in the war and security industries.

3/5/12

The Royal Scam

Farting in the Wind

Shark-In-Charge of the US Corporation Eric Holder justifies killing anyone, anytime.

"Neither Congress nor our federal courts has limited the geographic scope of our ability to use force* (kill anyone) to the current conflict in Afghanistan," Holder said. "We are at war with a stateless enemy, prone to shifting operations from country to country."

As if this wasn't incredible enough Benjamin Wittes (a shark scholar with the Brookings Institution) justifies the justification...

"It's essential that if we’re going to be doing these things (killing anyone), the top officials of our national security and legal officials explain why it's legal under international and constitutional law,"

...and then closes the circle.

"I think [the administration] is right as a matter of law."

This is what becomes of laws and values in the hands of murderers and thieves. To use the words of the SIC himself, This is an indicator of our times, not a departure from our laws and our values (as he spoke out of both gill sides at the same time.)

* The strike can't violate international standards governing the use of force by killing too many civilians or noncombatants.

In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida

John Hawkins at ClownHall: 20 OBVIOUS TRUTHS that will "shock" liberals

1) The Founding Fathers were generally religious, gun-toting small government fanatics who were so far to the Right that they'd make Ann Coulter look like Jimmy Carter.

SHOCK value: 10

The FF were generally anti-religious (Jefferson and Franklin to name two) pen wielding Government creators who were the children of liberal thought (The Enlightenment) and would probably laugh, or cry, at the revisionism being done in their names. It must be noted that the FF like the sky-god is a pliable entity that can be formed into any shape the "true" believer desires.
Note: please see previous post about my explanation of "small" government.

2) The greatest evil this country has ever committed isn't slavery; it's killing more than 50 million innocent children via abortion.

SHOCK value: 10+

Slavery ranks with murder and torture as the greatest evils a human can do to another human. PERIOD. To argue counter to this is misogynistic, psychopathic and delusional.

3) Conservatives are much more compassionate than liberals and all you have to do to prove it is look at all the studies showing that conservatives give more of their money to charity than liberals do.

SHOCK value: 8

The measure of a person's compassion has nothing to do with money. Based upon "obvious truth" number two this conservative spokestool has a problem with his compassion meter.

4) When the Founding Fathers were actually around, there were official state religions and the Bible was used as a textbook in schools. The so-called "wall of separation between church and state" has absolutely nothing to do with the Constitution and everything to do with liberal hostility to Christianity.

SHOCK value: 2

Mentioning the FF and the sky-god in the same sentence earns him little in shock value. (see above, #1)

5) The biggest problem with our economy today is Barack Obama. His demonization (sic) of successful people, his driving up gas prices, his regulatory overload and threats to increase taxes have terrified businesses into hunkering down, refusing to spend money, and declining to hire new people. Replacing him would do more than any government policy to spur economic growth.

SHOCK value: 6

The biggest problem with the economy is it is based upon a faulty premise (unbridled greed and exploitation.) Whomever “wears the purple” in this country has a distinct and unfair advantage over those who don't. The president simply serves these interests in the economic sphere. I might add that electing a republican would only contribute to an acceleration of the economic meltdown to come.

6) Not only are conservatives more patriotic than liberals, but most American liberals "love" America in about the same way that a wife-beater loves his wife.

SHOCK value: 10+

Patriotism is the last refuge of the scoundrel and the metaphor used here speaks volumes. (snark-how long have tank tops been getting married?)

7) Out of every 100 cries of “Racism” you hear these days, 99 are motivated by nothing other than politics.

SHOCK value: 1

When you pull statistics out of your ass you lose my interest.
Note: Racism is always political and always wrong.

8) Anyone paying income taxes is certainly paying his “fair share" -- and then some -- compared to the people who pay nothing.

SHOCK value: 5

Everyone who lives in this country (whether legally or not) pays taxes. (see #7 note)

9) You don't have a "right" to anything that other people have to pay to provide for you.

SHOCK value: 10+

Here is a perfect example of the true compassion of the conservative.

10) If we can ask people to present an ID to buy alcohol, drive a car, or get on an airplane, then asking them to present identification to vote is a no-brainer.

SHOCK value: 2

There is one major difference (and a lot of minor ones.) The three examples he gives involve spending money, so I guess he is implying that we should charge people to vote. It makes sense since You don't have a "right" to anything that other people have to pay to provide for you.

11) There's absolutely nothing that the government does smarter, better, or more efficiently than the private market with roughly equivalent resources.

SHOCK value: 0

I have no faith in either, so the point is moot.

12) The biggest problem with education in this country is liberals. They fight vouchers, oppose merit pay, refuse to get rid of terrible teachers, and bend over backwards to keep poor kids trapped in failing schools.

SHOCK value: 5

See my post Teach Your Children for my response.

13) Fascism, socialism, and communism are all left-wing movements that have considerably more in common with modern liberalism than modern conservatism.

SHOCK value: 10+

Fascism is conservatism taken to its extreme. To lump it with socialism and communism as a left wing movement betrays an ignorance of history that is disheartening and pathetic.

14) The Democratic Party was behind slavery, the KKK, and Jim Crow laws. It was also the party of Margaret Sanger, George Wallace, and Bull Connor. It has ALWAYS been a racist party. Even today, white liberals support Affirmative Action and racial set-asides because they still believe black Americans are too inferior to go up against whites on an even playing field.

SHOCK value: 6

First, the playing field is not equal. Second, see #7 above. Third, see #7 note above. Fourth, this is projection at its finest. Now someone get me a Fifth because I am going to need it to get through the rest of this.

15) A man with good morals who falls short and becomes a hypocrite is still a far better man than a liberal who can never be called a hypocrite because he has no morals at all.

SHOCK value: 10+

I will let logicians deal with the complete falsity and errors of this statement. See my post Mean Mistreater for my views on morality.

16) The most dire threat to America's future and prosperity in the last 150 years hasn't been the Nazis, the Soviets, or Al-Qaeda;, it's the spending and overreach of our own government.

SHOCK value: 3

See my post American Pie for explanation. Keep those war drones flying!

17) Greed isn't someone wanting to keep more of what he earns; it's people demanding a greater share of money that someone else earns.

SHOCK value: 1

Greed is what greed is. When is enough, enough? There's that compassion thing popping it's ugly head up again.

18) Most of the time in American politics, the liberal "victim" is really a bad guy who is absolutely delighted by the opportunity to pretend to be "offended."

SHOCK value: 1

Projection?

19) Jesus Christ was not a conservative, a liberal, or a politician. He was also not a capitalist or a socialist. Still, you can say this: Jesus drew sharp lines about what's right and wrong, he wasn't tolerant of what the Bible categorizes as sinful behavior, and there's absolutely no question that he would adamantly oppose abortion and gay marriage.

SHOCK value 10+

The sky-god is a pliable entity that can be formed into any shape the "true" believer desires.

20) When you demand that other people fund your sexual escapades by buying your contraception, your sex life becomes their business.

SHOCK value: 1

And the business of America is business. Conservatives loves them some business too.

There are many “obvious” truths in life. I can say emphatically that I don't believe any of these quips amount to more than mental masturbation on the part of the author. Not one of them shocked me. I was more shocked at the dysfunction involved in the process of compiling this load of bull shit. My SHOCK value was based more upon the relative boredom I felt than outrage. That anyone would believe this tripe is a question of the ages. That we will survive them will be the question for the ages.

American Pie

OK...

Let's set the record straight once and for all.

You can't be against big government while simultaneously supporting the defense department (military) and also by extension the whole justice department (and its innumerable bureaucratic acronyms.)

To hold such a position renders any argument you make about government spending indefensible and moot.

It is probably a good indicator of your mental acumen as well.

End of discussion.

Farting in the Wind

Big shot and spokestool for the U.S Corporation, Secretary of State Clinton blurted this non-apology:

“We are condemning it (the burning of Korans) in the strongest possible terms, but we also believe that the violence must stop, and the hard work of trying to build a more peaceful, prosperous and secure Afghanistan must continue.”

Do you think maybe they are protesting against the murder and rape of their land by foreign "security" forces?

They have to say this delusional shit to appease the enablers (the American public.)

2/20/12

The Last Resort

The past speaks volumes to me as I contemplate modernity. I am in awe of the paths which have led us into the wasteland. Paths steamrollered into sameness and banality as humanity's "buzz" is getting harder to satiate. Blood and treasure seem to be all there is left for the fortunate few. Eventually, this bloodlust and greed will turn inward and devour even these "eaters of worlds" themselves.

Alternatives are not even being sought. Those who see the wreckage and attempt to enlighten are the "buzzkillers" and "crackpots" and they are dutifully ignored. The reality of our craven existence where war and poverty abound is so blatantly obvious by some that it has to be ignored by the many or we might have to believe in something like peace and equality instead of an invisible sky god who will reward us for our blind devotion. Religion is one of the opiates (the others being violence and money) which keeps the "buzz" going for many and the belief in salvation is the ace which binds them to an unthinking and uncaring mindset.

That's the way of the world and there appears to be nothing we can do about it. The ironic part is that a great many of my fellow travelers who sense that something is amiss will avoid the "buzzkill" because of the children they are raising. Tell me, dear maters and paters, when is it supposed to get better? What kind of world do you believe your children will grow old in? I have been intimate with the past and it bodes ill for a terrifyingly surreal future. The present encompasses both and is disgustingly meaningless.

There's a specter haunting this planet...

Brig. Gen. Lewis Boone, the NATO spokestool here, said ...

[the boys] “appeared to be carrying weapons and heading for nearby mountains. They were moving in open terrain in a tactical fashion and clearly keeping a distance from each other.”

This is not even an apology (which makes it worse.) This is the mentality of the paranoid military mind. I am sickened by acts (and justifications) like this.

Laugh Tracks

The trail of the funny,
Meanders ever backwards.
In an infinite spiraling loop,
With interchangeable punches and lines.

Artificial sounds emanate,
Out of a plastic wasteland.
Humorless squeals, mocking surreal,
And the brightness dims on the watchers.

Noxious gasses; getting giddy,
A spike through Gaia's heart.
Serious smiles straining and selling,
Under grim furrowed brows.

Chest thumping love monkeys,
Shrieking for more.
With a merciless mocking and lust,
And empathetic indifference.

Screams, tears and maniacal laughter;
Hysterical rides and rails.
Gods write comedy and mortals cry,
Of a lost cause's humor found.

Enter the killing zone.

Where prey is canned and scanned.

Wrinkles in time,
Within frayed edges of impossible dreams.
Soulful, hopeful traces of irony,
Masked by tears shed at its passing.

Empty Pages

My mind whirls with such frequency these days. Yet, I am gripped by an overwhelming madness that has been creeping steadily on my soul. This perception is so glimmering obvious to me that I can't find the precise words to express my tribulation without careening off into dimensions yet unfounded. Some would call this writer's block, but for me it is as if I took a gigantic "bong toke" of head-spinning pot and tried to fix a flat tire.

I inspect the wheel in question and scratch my head for a bit. Then I circle the vehicle three or four times for no other reason than to try to grasp the situation. Next, I open the trunk and pull out the crap that is covering the spare and I notice a book I hadn't read in years and proceed to sit on the bumper and read. After a few pages I become parched and go into my car and look for my water bottle, whereby I see the pile of trash that has been piling up in my back seat and think to myself, "I need to clean that up."

I now need a plastic bag to contain all the refuse so I go back to the trunk and remember I am supposed to be changing a tire. Needless to say, it will take me another 30 minutes to figure out what I am doing and finish the job.

I need to focus...
